Today, a day-long freelancing workshop on Information Technology was held at Royal Central College in Barisal, jointly organised by the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN), the South Asian Specialised Education Group (SASEG), and Gurukul.
A total of 45 participants from schools, colleges, and universities attended the workshop. It was conducted by IT specialist Mr Sufi Faruq Ibne Abubakar and General Secretary of Khulna BDOSN, Mr Nahidul Islam Rumel, with assistance from ‘Projuktite Kushtia’ leaders Mr Nadimuzzaman Tonu and Mr Muhaiminur Rahman Polol.
Following the completion of the workshop, Honourable Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Architect Yeafesh Osman, handed certificates to the participants. Special guests at the event included the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), Mr Mahfuzur Rahman, Consultant to the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Mr Munir Hasan, and Principal of Royal Central College, Mr Arifur Rahman. The ceremony was chaired by Professor M Hanif, a distinguished educationist of the country.
