Inauguration of Cleanliness Drive at Lalon Sai Campus, Kushtia Gurukul

Kushtia, 14 March 2016 – With the aim of enhancing urban cleanliness and raising health awareness, Gurukul Education Family launched a large-scale cleanliness drive. The formal inauguration took place at 10:30 a.m. in the courtyard of Campus-1, located in Kalishankarpur, Kushtia town. The event was jointly inaugurated by Matiur Rahman Majnu, Panel Mayor of Kushtia Municipality, and Jomarat Ali, Councillor for Ward No. 7.

Event Atmosphere

The opening ceremony was marked by an inspiring and energetic environment, with the active participation of students, teachers, officials, and staff members. In his address, the Panel Mayor stated:

“Assist the municipality in transforming waste into resources. Do not dispose of litter indiscriminately, and avoid blocking drains with rubbish. Keep your own premises clean, and encourage others to do the same.”

He extended congratulations to Gurukul Education Family on behalf of Kushtia Municipality and urged that such initiatives be carried out regularly.

Campaign Activities

Conducted simultaneously across all Gurukul campuses in Kushtia, the drive saw participants manually clean campus premises, nearby streets, and drains. The initiative aimed not only at ensuring physical cleanliness but also at raising awareness among students about personal hygiene and environmental responsibility.

 

Future Plans

Gurukul Education Family announced that it will now conduct regular cleanliness drives to ensure that campuses and their surrounding areas remain healthy, hygienic, and visually appealing.
