The Fresher Reception Ceremony for the Medical Departments of Gurukul Education Family in Kushtia was held yesterday at 11:00 am at the SASEG Kushtia Campus-2, located at Hospital Mor, in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
The event was presided over by Montu Bain, Academic In-Charge of the Medical Section. The Director of Administration, Monir Hasan, attended as the chief guest. Other distinguished speakers included Tanvir Mehdi, Chief Coordinator; Shamim Rana, Legal and Media Coordinator; Rafiqul Islam, Head of the Commercial Department; Dipak Kumar Mondol, Assistant Registrar; and Khandaker Ruhul Amin, Finance In-Charge.
Remarks by the Speakers
Speakers highlighted that the SASEG-Gurukul Education Family, founded by IT expert Sufi Faruk Ibn Abu Bakr, has already established 11 educational institutions in Dhaka, Kushtia, and Rajbari, making significant contributions to the spread of technical and vocational education in the region.
They further announced that by 2020, the organisation aims to set up more than 50 educational institutions across Bangladesh to expand technical education and produce a highly skilled workforce for the nation.
New Educational Initiatives
It was revealed that initiatives have already begun to establish new institutions in Kumarkhali, Khoksa, Rangpur, and Magura. These efforts are expected to open new horizons in the country’s education sector in the near future.
Fresher Reception Highlights
The ceremony commenced with the presentation of flowers and sweets to the new students as a token of welcome. This was followed by an enchanting cultural programme performed by members of the SASEG-Gurukul Cultural Club, captivating the audience of teachers, students, and guests.

The entire programme was coordinated by Jannatul Ferdous, teacher of the Medical Section and Coordinator of the SASEG-Gurukul Cultural Club, with assistance from Alamgir Hossain, Abdul Alim, and Fazle Hasan Rabbi.
