Farewell Ceremony for the Engineering Departments of Kushtia Gurukul

The Gurukul Education Family organised a colourful and memorable farewell ceremony for the engineering students of its Kushtia-based institutions. The event, held in honour of the departing students, was both an emotional and inspiring occasion, aimed at encouraging them as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Date and Venue

The farewell ceremony took place on 4 April 2016, running from 9:00 am throughout the day, at the Kushtia District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. The programme was presided over by Chanchal Ali, Convenor of the Farewell Ceremony Committee and Departmental In-Charge of the Computer Department.

Chief Guest and Distinguished Attendees

The chief guest was Anisur Rahman Mahmud, Member of the Advisory Council of the Gurukul Education Family.

Speeches by the Guests

In their speeches, the guests commended the Gurukul Education Family for establishing 15 technical colleges, thereby making a significant contribution to the advancement of technical education in Kushtia and across the country. They emphasised that technical education not only equips students with self-reliance but also transforms them into valuable assets for the nation.

They further highlighted the distinction between general and technical education, calling on parents to encourage their children to pursue technical studies.

Cultural Performances

Following the discussion session, the Gurukul Cultural Club enlivened the atmosphere with an engaging cultural programme. Songs, dances, recitations, and short plays were performed, offering love and best wishes to the departing students.

The day-long event was jointly anchored by: Sonia Mahmud, Yasin Arafat, Sabrina Momtaj Chayon, Rashna Sharmin, Jonaki Khatun, Nahid Farzana, and Siddhartha Shovon Roy.
