About

We Are Bangladesh Gurukul Family

With the slogan of creating an educated, skilled, hardworking, cultured, and humane generation, the activities of Gurukul began in 2008 under the leadership of IT specialist Mr. Sufi Faruq Ibn Abubakar. At the outset, in addition to awareness programs, various regular training sessions were organized to produce a technically skilled workforce and technology-based entrepreneurs. Alongside, technical assistance was provided to organizations engaged in similar activities.

We are working to build an educated, skilled, hardworking, cultured, and humane generation.

In 2009, the first technical education institute was established in Kushtia district, Bangladesh. In 2010, the institute received official approval from the Government of Bangladesh. The institute began offering 4-year diploma programs along with various short courses. Over time, under the umbrella of Gurukul, 11 technical education institutions have been established, offering diploma programs in engineering, medical, and nursing fields, as well as a wide range of short courses.

The courses conducted by Gurukul include — Civil Technology, Computer Science & Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Food Technology, Mechanical Technology, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology (R.A.C), Environmental Technology, Architecture Technology, Automobile Technology, Chemical Technology, and Nursing Technology, among others.

In addition to running educational institutions and informal training programs, Gurukul operates Bangladesh’s most diverse online education initiative through the platform “Gurukul Online Learning Network.” This platform broadcasts online classes from all education systems in Bangladesh through nearly fifty social media channels. It also produces educational content for various government and private television channels. From this platform, Gurukul provides digital learning materials to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board under the Government of Bangladesh.

For better management, in 2018 a non-profit organization named “Gurukul Trust” was established, bringing all Gurukul activities under its umbrella. An executive committee of the trust oversees all operations, with the head of the trust known as the “Gurukul Chief.” Additionally, separate executive committees are formed as needed for institutions operating under the trust. Gurukul also has sector-specific committees for overall supervision and management.
